Chelsey and Mackenzie, two extraordinary women with a shared passion for health and wellness, found themselves taking an unexpected turn in their careers. Inspired by their personal experiences and a desire to help others, they decided to turn their dreams into reality. With a solid background in nursing, equine veterinary medicine and a deep understanding of the importance of hydration, they recognized the untapped potential in the market for convenient and effective rehydration services for equestrians. Armed with determination and a strong work ethic, Chelsey and Mackenzie began a mission to provide exceptional IV hydration therapy, tailored to individual needs, while promoting overall well-being and integrity.

Understanding that dehydration could have severe consequences coupled with their knowledge of the ins and outs of the sport, this dynamic duo set their sights on ensuring the well-being of these fearless athletes. They believe that by offering these services, they can enhance the quality of people's lives and contribute to a healthier equestrian community.

Chelsey's background as an emergency room nurse at a Level II Trauma ER provided unparalleled training in intravenous hydration. Witnessing the toll that the blazing sun and intense physical exertion took on competitors at the scorching Florida rodeos, Chelsey recognized the importance of providing this crucial service to competitors who wanted to stay at the top of their game. Chelsey has honed her expertise in recognizing the unique challenges Floridians face, including the high humidity and intense sunlight that amplify the risk of dehydration. Chelsey is well-versed in educating patients about the importance of hydration, her extensive knowledge allows her to offer valuable insights, tips, and personalized guidance to individuals seeking to combat dehydration and stay healthy in the Sunshine State. Chelsey has also been a barrel racer since the age of 11, so don’t be surprised if you hear her cheering for you around the second barrel!

Mackenzie is a true force in the world of equine care, seamlessly balancing her role as a past veterinarian technician and a current accounts receivable manager at an esteemed equine sports medicine clinic. Her unique combination of expertise gives her a comprehensive understanding of the intricate relationship between horses and their owners. As a vet tech, she had been well-versed in administering medical treatments, providing compassionate care, and showcasing her vast knowledge and love for animals. But it is her role as an accounts receivable manager that truly sets her apart. By managing the financial side of the clinic, Mackenzie gains valuable insights into the concerns, needs, and expectations of the horse owners. Her ability to bridge the gap between these two worlds, her deep understanding of equine health, and her exceptional communication skills make her an indispensable asset those that rely on her expertise and compassion.

Together, Chelsey and Mackenzie formed Bare Hands, LLC in 2023 and Rodeo Rehydration was born on a whim during one of their usual rapid-fire business idea sessions. In their spare time, Chelsey and Mackenzie enjoy riding their own horses, gardening and canning, boating and paddle boarding.
